Union Plus Credit Card

Low-finance charge, no-annual fee credit cards. The Union Plus-credit card program, endorsed by AFGE, is provided by Household Banks (Nevada).

ELIGIBILITY: Only current dues-paying members of AFGE can apply for and keep this card.

  1. AFGE has no involvement in the credit decision.
  2. Member should allow five weeks from the time an application was mailed.
  3. The annual percentage rate (APR) is based upon a member's credit record.
  4. Members should understand that they must meet minimum credit criteria to obtain a credit card, and that the bank will base their credit decision on a review of the member's past credit history. Members who have been denied a credit card should first request a copy of their credit history to be certain there are no errors.
  5. All denials generally fall into one of four categories: No credit history; delinquent credit history; ratio of debt to income, or errors on the member's credit history.
  6. Appeals must be received within 30 days of the date of denial letter.
  7. To appeal a denial over 30 days old, a fully-completed new application must accompany the appeal.
